Stylish Gent

Stylish Gent is for men who want to be stylish, not fashionable. We prioritize clothing you can buy and wear over runway photos and art pieces. We want to be your curator, not your critic, so we keep our posts short.

I gotta admit, this isn’t a stylish finding from around the web. I designed this piece in 2007 and took it to the Berlin streetwear fashion show. Unfortunately the distributor wasn’t invested in the concept, and the samples had too narrow sleeves.  Which didn’t help sales. Not that the distributor did any work to help sell the label.  I believe we sold a few batches of these to some Japanese and London stores.
Anyway, this piece was made out of 100% pinstripe wool suiting with riri zippers (oh my god those zippers were expensive — like $12 a piece)  The buttons were antique stamped copper that had rusted to shit.  The photo is taken inside a massive denim stone-wash machine.
I wish you could still buy this label :( I hereby give you permission to rip this design off.  Take note of the dyed khaki binding.  Not shown: antique silk lining.
